Skilled Nursing and Companion Care Services

When are your caregivers available?
Our caregivers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We customize a companion care schedule for our client’s needs.

How do I determine which skilled nursing and companion care services I need?
Each client will receive an assessment by our Director of Nursing to determine which services are best for your specific needs and request. We encourage loved ones and family members to participate in the process. It is our goal to provide our services to ensure comfort and peace of mind for our clients and their support team during recovery.

Are there a minimum number of hours I must commit to?
We require a minimum of 4 hours minimum.

What are your caregiver’s qualifications?
Our caregivers are thoroughly screened through rigorous background check and have a clean driving record if providing transportation for clients. Our caregiver’s are experienced and trained to provide care for post-operative patients. Access to Director of Nursing is available 24/7. They must be legal to work in the U.S.

How do I set up skilled nursing or companion care services?
You can set up service by booking a reservation on our secure website through client portal or by calling our office and speaking with one of our team members at 214-210-9699.

Do I need to sign a contract?
You will be asked to complete an intake form, sign consent/acknowledgment/ waiver, and plan of care or plan of service agreement. There is no long-term contract. Clients are required to review information provided under Client Information link before receiving services.

Does Cosmetic Companions accept insurance?
We do not accept Insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. We strive to create a plan of care/ plan of service with the client’s budget in mind.

How do I pay for my services?
Our skilled nursing and companion care services are 100% private pay. We accept credit card payments, and checks are accepted only if paid directly to our office location 7 days prior to reserved service date.

Is Cosmetic Companions licensed?
Cosmetic Companions is licensed by the State of Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to provide Personal Assistant Services for non-medical private pay services. Cosmetic Companions is licensed by the State of Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to provide nursing private pay services performed by our RNs, LVNs, and HHA’s.

 

Non-Emergency Transportation

Is Cosmetic Companions a transportation company?
Cosmetic Companions is not a transportation company, but offers assistance with transportation to our clients under our Personal Assistance and Skilled Nursing Services. We only service non-emergent and ambulatory clients.

Why is Cosmetic Companions transportation more expensive than Uber/Lyft?
When booking transportation with Cosmetic Companions, our clients are employing Skilled Nursing or Personal Assistant Services. Our rates are based on a flat fee that includes 3 hours of service time/operational cost, and fees determined based on time, mileage, and surge/dynamic pricing. We will pick you up from surgery center and safely deliver you with a figurative white glove to your place of recovery.

What if my surgery or procedure is running behind?
Cosmetic Companions incorporates a grace period for delays in the pricing. Delays outside of 3 hour reservation will result in an hourly fee starting at $25/hr. We ask that you update us immediately with information about delays.

 

IV Hydration Services

How does the IV treatment process work?
The IV infusion therapy process is meant to be quick and easy. Visit our website, select the desired treatment, and book an appointment. At booking, there will be a quick intake form to collect pertinent medical information and if necessary a telephonic physician consultation. Once complete, a member of our team to arrive at the reserved hour and provide your service.

What information do I need to provide at time of booking?
You will be asked to complete a basic health questionnaire. This is designed to assess your ability to receive IV infusion therapy and ensure your safety throughout the treatment process. All information will be strictly confidential and collected through our secure client portal.

Will there be a consultation with a physician prior to treatment?
You can always request to consult with a physician prior to receiving IV infusion therapy. In instances where there are safety concerns due to designated medical conditions, a telephonic consultation will automatically be triggered after review of intake form. Some clients may not meet criteria for our IV fluid therapy services based on criteria set by our Medical Director. IV therapies are not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure but are for the purpose of pursuing wellness.

What locations are your hydration therapy services currently available?
We are currently servicing the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

How often can I get an IV treatment?
IV treatments will be customized to your body’s needs. Healthy people may receive several treatments per week.

Once booking is complete, how long does it take for a skilled nursing provider to come to me?
We will do our best to accommodate short notice reservation within 4 hours of booking. Additional fees will be assessed for short notice bookings. There is no additional charge for treatments booked outside of 4 hours.

Are there any side effects during the IV process?
No major side effects are typically experienced during or after an IV treatment. Mild bruising and bleeding may occur. A cold or chilled sensation is common while fluids are being administered. Some clients report that they are able to “taste” the vitamins during infusion.

How soon should I expect to feel the effects the IV infusion therapy?
Results will vary based on symptoms and treatments. Nausea generally improves within the first hour after treatment. Other common symptoms like headache, fatigue and malaise are then next to subside.

How long does the IV treatment last?
IV treatments are typically 1 hour from start to finish. Our nurses will do an assessment of the client upon arrival before starting the infusion to ensure safety. If the assessment is outside of normal parameters set by our Medical Director, the infusion will be rescheduled with service credit issued minus $75 rescheduling fee.

I’ve been told that I don’t have “good” veins can I still receive a treatment?
We offer a variety of gauge sizes to accommodate our client. Our skilled nursing team members are experts and trained to start IVs on clients that are dehydrated or have veins that are harder to access.

Can I pay for IV treatments with my insurance?
Unfortunately, we do not accept private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid for our IV therapies. If your insurance plan offers reimbursement we are able to provide you with a form to submit to your health plan if you wish. Please contact our office if this is needed.

Do you perform background checks on all of your nurses?
Yes, all of our companion care and skilled nursing providers are screened through a rigorous background check prior to hire.

Do you provide discounts for groups or special events?
Yes, we do provide group discounts for parties of 5 or more. The discount will be based on group size and desired IV infusion therapies.
