When you schedule skilled nursing from Cosmetic Companions, you can choose from a variety of skilled nursing options, including:
- A three-hour visit from a skilled nurse during the day
- Overnight nurse help
- Hourly companion care assistance
- Hourly care from a Registered Nurse (for up to four hours)
We provide the best private caregiver for your unique needs.
After a surgical procedure, a client will still require medical attention. There should be supervision of the client’s condition to ensure that any possible complications will be immediately attended. Also, there is a need to strictly follow physician’s recovery instructions to assure good recovery.
Cosmetic Companions consists of RN’s, LPN’s, and MA’s to care for you at home or wherever you desire to recover. All skilled nursing care will be directed and overseen by an experienced Registered Nurse with an expertise in the unique care needs of plastic surgery clients.
Our skilled nursing team has years of experience in identifying signs and symptoms of post-operative complications. As some surgeries will require a Skilled Nurse to visit initially before care can be turned over to less qualified personnel.
With the oversight of the Registered Nurse, medication reminders and instructions will be given on how to take medications prescribed by their doctor.
With their care, they will always be under the direction and supervision of a physician in order to comply with the necessary and appropriate instructions needed for medication and recovery.
We are NOT a substitute for hospitalization. If your surgeon requires that you need a higher level of post-operative care outside of your home, please follow the advice of your physician.
Skilled Nurse Overnight
12 hours of care that includes complete nursing assessment, medication optimization and reminders, dressing changes, managing of drains, post-operative risk prevention teaching, personal assisting with showering and other activities of daily living, running errands, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Charges for additional dressing and supplies provided by CC will vary. Overnight Care hours are generally from 6pm to 6am.
Skilled Nurse Visit
3 hour visit that includes complete nursing assessment, medication optimization and reminders, dressing changes, managing of drains, post operative risk prevention teaching, personal assisting with showering and other activities of daily living, running errands if and when necessary, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Charges for additional dressing and supplies provided by Cosmetic Companions will vary.
